Top Gear's "The Stig" identity revealed?

BBC2’s full-of-win show “Top Gear” has come back to its 13th season, and it came out with a bang. Revealing the identity of the mysterious driver and stuntman “The Stig”. It’s none other than Formula One former champion Michael Schumacher. Or is he? More after the break.

The Stig’s primary functions on the show are to post lap times in various cars around the Top Gear Test Track in Dunsfold Park, and to train each week’s guest in setting a lap time in the Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car feature on the show. In addition the Stig carries out other driving duties when the need arises.
Now a cult icon among those fans of the show or just fans of cars, stunts, and driving in general, was revealed to be Michael Schumacher, former Formula One racer and currently under contract by Ferrari for a nice little salary of $80,000,000.
Really? I mean….Really? it is unbelievable with that kind of money that BBC managed to persuade Schumacher to pull off some of the craziest stunts.
Earlier this year it was claimed the mystery driver was professional stuntman and Le Mans racer Ben Collins. That I can believe. Schumacher? Not so much. At the end of the show, we were treated to a comedic scene with Michael crashing into a television camera, with Jeremy Clarkson remarking “so Michael Schumacher is The Stig…or is he?”
We’ll keep an eye on this one.
