I smell burnt meat: Using power lines as a bridge

During Typhoon Ketsana in the Philippines last week, residents had to figure out ways to stay dry and on high ground as you can see.
I can’t begin to tell you a number of reasons why standing on electric wires is a bad idea, let’s just hope their power grid was down long enough for them to get to safety 
Humanity has come a long way but it seems we are never prepared for something like this, sometimes mother nature acts like a rabid bitch…
