This movie is due September 10 of this year, and this is what you can expect:
WTF? Is this how they’re trying to attract people? By sticking Cameron’s system in it and mentioning it in the trailers? WOW, it smells like a bad movie, but in 3D….(which means more expensive tickets D:<)
The RE Franchise has been crap almost from the beginning.
The first one was enjoyable, though a BIT far from the original story, no biggie though.
The problem came with the next ones, it seems somebody “forgot” what these movies are about, instead of following the original plot they decided to give us stories that match the “Return of the Living Dead” movie series.
The videogames have more than enough story to make a good adaptation, and I say adaptation because we all know that’s all Hollywood ever does, even if the story is good enough to be used as it is this big-shot directors always try to leave their mark by doing their own versions, which in most cases SUCK.
But even with that we (the general public) for the most part, understand that it will never be the same as the original, but we do expect a good story, which is what is almost always missing. Instead they focus on things like special effects, humor, comedy relief, include unnecessary scenes, extra actors that don’t fit the story at all, etc.
What’s really sad is the CG movie “Resident Evil: Degeneration” is far superior to any of the 3 movies and actually focuses on the real story.
It’s too bad Hollywood keeps promising good adaptations of old series, videogames and cartoons, only to deliver crap 90% of the time.
