England 0:0 Algeria
I have mixed feelings about this game. On one hand there was Algeria, the lowest ranked team in the group. On the other hand there was the mighty England. I watched the whole match, and I gotta say it looked like some lame-ass players were impersonating the real English team.
As if Robert Green’s mistake in the game against the USA wasn’t bad enough, it seems the rest of the team will join him in the tabloids. England hasn’t scored since the fourth minute of its opening match against the USA.
There is something wrong going on when even Desert Foxes coach, Rabah Saadane, was surprised at England’s poor performance.
“I thought they would be better,” Saadane said. “They were not at their best.”
Algeria was brilliant, even though there were no goals during the whole match they kept going at it using mostly their insane speed, which seemed to tire the British near the end of the second half.
Algeria played just as good as England during the first half, and then just good enough to keep the British guessing during the second half.
My question is, are all these big teams underestimating the supposedly small/kinda bad teams? Did they really think they would just bring a goal storm on them without any effort?
Whatever it is England should better get their act together and win the next match or they’re out.
