Childrens’ Hospital on CN’s Adult Swim

entertainment

This past Sunday Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim began airing Childrens’ Hospital.

Childrens’ Hospital is a satirical comedy that lampoons the medical show genre, created by and starring actor/comedian Rob Corddry. Childrens’ Hospital reunites Corddry with his What Happens in Vegas co-star Lake Bell and also stars Ken Marino, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel, Jason Sudeikis, David Wain, Nate Corddry, Ed Helms, Nick Kroll, Michael Cera and Megan Mullally

The show mocks such hospital dramas as Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, and ER with such scenes as doctors making out in front of underage patients and crippled female doctors forced to walk around on two crutches.

While this looks all fun and all, this pretty much marks the end of the “cartoon” part in Cartoon Network, leaving it only as the new CN.

This is sad, I’m pretty sure I will enjoy the show, but this is Comedy Central material, ever since CN let go of all their good shows and good anime stuff it’s becoming more and more like Nickelodeon.

As if it isn’t bad enough watching syndicated shows like Family Guy on the AS block (I love the show, but c’mon), and the other horrid shows on that block, now comes a non-animated show, let’s just call CN the new WB for crying out loud!

Anyway, the original season one webisodes began airing on Adult Swim on July 11, 2010, and the newly produced season two episodes will begin airing on August 22, 2010.

Again, I’m sure I will like the show, I just don’t like where this is going.

  1. This show is entirely inappropriate for children and families. I think the tv execs are just going to far with this violent, sexual garbage. I wish more parents would pay attention and limit their children’s tv time.

    1. The show is crude, I will give you that, but it looks funny to some extent :D.

What I really don’t like is this being in Cartoon Network, Warner should just sell the channel to someone willing to use it properly…
