According to Mashable,

AT&T just announced a definitive agreement with Deutsche Telekom to buy T-Mobile USA for $39 billion in cash and stock. In a press release, AT&T said the agreement has been approved by both companies’ boards of directors.

If the deal meets regulatory approval, AT&T will be the largest wireless provider in the United States. The company says the transaction will allow it to expand its 4G LTE network to 95% of the population of the United States, and touts enhanced “quality in the near term” for AT&T and T-Mobile customers.

The T-Mobile.net site says in the press release that “AT&T will pay 25 billion USD in cash for T-Mobile USA, in addition to 14 billion USD in AT&T shares.”

Fuck me sideways! I have T-Mobile phone, now not only will I get shitty service, but the prices will go up! And just when I was thinking on getting a second line……

Well, I’ve been off the contract for a few months now, but I wanted to get a new phone to get a new 2-year contract, now I’m sure the new contracts will cost and eye and a leg, just like Verizon’s……

What I don’t understand is why a bad company buys another. T-Mobile wasn’t exactly in pair with AT&T or Verizon, so I don’t understand why them. Was AT&T so desperate that they couldn’t be bother to expand their infrastructure and instead they went for something already installed?

Whatever it is, it was a dick move.

Cricket, here I go.
