Tried the Mocha Coconut Frappuccino from Starbucks, didn’t like it

blog

From what I read at other sites the Mocha Coconut Frappuccino from Starbucks is a permanent fixture on the Starbucks’ Hawaii menu, and it just returned to the Continental US for a limited time.

The Mocha Coconut Frappuccino is a blend of roast coffee, your choice of milk, bittersweet mocha sauce, coconut syrup and ice, blended together and topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and toasted coconut flakes.

That all sounds great, so I decided to give it a try; I didn’t like it.

First of all, it was way too sweet, and for some reason the chocolate drizzle ruined the balance. All I could taste was chocolate. Sadly, the coconut flavor was only noticeable when you tried the coconut bits on top of the whipped cream, aside from that I didn’t recognize any coconut flavors anywhere else in the blend.

Starbucks should have introduced a coconut-only flavor, mixing it with chocolate kills whatever flavor it might have had.

I don’t know, it could have been one of those times when the drinks are not prepared right, but I’m not ordering it ever again, I’m sticking to the either the Java Chip or the Caramel Frappuccinos.

  1. If starbucks could add alcohol to all the coffee’s and whatever other shit they sell, maybe I considerate to go there and buy some.

    1. LOL, that could work, but it would be a drag to deal with all the drunks going there just for the alcohol =/
