So it’s come to this: “What Does the Fox Say?” Picture Book

The Fox,” that ridiculous viral hit from Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis finally became a children’s book. Ylvis, whose members are brothers Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker, released the video on September 3rd, and it quickly went viral with over 275 million views so far.

Simon & Schuster Publishing negotiated the deal with CAA, and adapted the song with lyrics into a children’s picture book. Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing president Jon Anderson in a statement, “I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched Ylvis’ hilarious, mesmerizing, unforgettable ‘The Fox.’ The lyrics and playfulness of the song lend themselves perfectly to the picture book format, and I’m ecstatic that Simon & Schuster is publishing Bard and Vegard’s first book.”

The “What Does The Fox Say” picture book is out today on Amazon US and Amazon Canada, and will be released on December 12 on Amazon UK.

I foresee an avalanche of Vines and Youtube videos of people reading this book.
