The Netherlands win 5-1 against Spain, the 2010 World Cup champion, in a game that made Spain look like they weren’t even trying to win. They were the finalists in the previous World Cup, with a victory by Spain.

Spain opened the scoreboard with a penalty kick awarded by dive by Spain’s Costa. That was the only time Spain scored during the match.

After that first goal by Spain, the game slowly became one sided, with Spanish players barely making it to the opposite side, but not being able to score.

The first goal by Netherlands was just beautiful, and I’m sure it’s gonna be mentioned a lot, and even included in the most beautiful goals of the tournament.

The Netherlands managed to get their revenge for that controversial loss against Spain in the 2010 World Cup finals.
