LOL that was a common thing back in my school days, and also dropping the last vowel was supposed to make it sound “American” xD, and don’t get me started on French, starting every word with “LE” and switching whatever last letter to an “E” was supposed to make it sound French xD!

That’s funny because it reminds me of a Mexican friend of mine who talked about she and a friend trying to talk “American” by adding “-ation” to the end of every other word.

Of course, they were about 11 at the time, it’s not like they were grown.
