I hear ya, IMHO everything went down the drain when they animated the second part of the Hades chapter using Kurumada’s manga frame by frame, an adaptation could have saved the series…

There’s a new series though, you might want to check the Lost Canvas anime, based on the manga by the same title, it’s pretty good.

As far as the game is concerned I never played the PS2 version, but this one looks promising.
