Tron: Uprising is an upcoming animated science fiction TV series, part of the Tron franchise, which will air on Disney’s television channel Disney XD, in the United States. The show is set to air in summer 2012. It will be directed by Charlie Bean, Joseph Kosinski and Sean Bailey, who will also act as executive producer. Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Sean Bailey will produce the series. The series is set between Tron and Tron: Legacy. Tron: Uprising has been announced to be a 10 part series. The show is also set to be previewed on the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Tron: Legacy.

If you ask me I think it will end up as another boring series. What really bothers me is the cast, they called for known actors to do the voices instead of using real voice actors, it’s like they’re trying to gain audience through the names instead of the plot. What bothers me even more is one of the cast members, Paul Reubens; also known as Pee-wee Herman.

As a funny note, one of the main characters will be voiced by Emmanuelle Sophie Anne Chriqui, whose name is pronounced, according to Wikipedia,   /ɨˈmænjuːl ˈʃriːki/, I think I’d rather mess it up and say Kriki.
