Timberland Boot Company 2009 Fall/Winter Collection
I don’t usually talk about fashion, I’m pretty much the type of guy who usually wears a normal pair of jeans, a novelty t-shirt, and tennis shoes, I’m pretty simple when it comes to fashion.
This time something really caught my eye; the Timberland Fall/Winter collection. In a word, “boots.”
I have always liked boots, but it’s been many years since I had a pair, mainly because of the shoe sizes normally carried by many shoe stores and outlets, in short they don’t carry my number.
Depending of the make and brand my size ranges from 11 to 11½ US, although once I found a pair of 10½’s that fit just right. My problem is usually with the stores not carrying anything below 12 in US numbers, I even found a pair that only came in 13 O_O……
Moving on, the new Timberland collection was inspired by the 1930-1940’s era of northern England work/outdoor boots which often embodied special production methods and strong detailing. The collection is broken down into three lines, The Colrain (military-inspired), the Counterpane (a dressier line) and the Tackhead (which reflects a resourceful and contemporary Timberland).
I fell in love with these boots, I think I’m gonna start saving up and plan ahead my route around the stores in this area so I can find the right number this time…….
