Superman Begins – The new face of The Man of Steel
The internet just got set on fire! As news is flowing that Henry Cavill (THE TUDORS – a pretty amazing show btw) Will be taking on the role of Clark Kent/Kal-El in the sixth adaptation of the character, directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300) It’s interesting that they didnt recast Brandon Routh. I mean, dont get me wrong, this guy looks like he really can punch a hole through a tank, but I didn’t think it was Routh’s fault that the movie bombed. If anything, they were trying too hard to set a continuation on the 70s movies that they forgot everything else that makes Superman great.
In any case, I for one am looking forward to this. I have faith in Snyder. I loved 300, I loved Watchmen, and Sucker Punch looks amazing. My only grief with this, is that it’s apparently not set in the same universe as Batman Begins (Shame on your Warner, could’ve taken a cue from Marvel on that) But, I welcome an action packed Superman movie, which is what we fans have been asking for a long time.
