I guess it’s time to reduce my coke habits

Coca-Cola will raise its prices 3-4% in July. This is the second price increase for Coke in 2011, following a 2% earlier this year. They cite the rising costs of commodities as the reason behind a second price increase this year.

Pepsico will also raise costs to retailers by 3-5% between July and September.

I guess by commodities they mean the recent price increases in petroleum and coffee, among other things. I just hope they don’t come up with smaller versions and still raise the prices.

I will have to change my habits and only buy them if they’re on sale, otherwise no more soft drinks for me =(
