Truth hurts.
Spain-based art director Nico Ordozgoiti (twitter) created this hilarious iPhone wallpaper set, called Truth Hurts, and I think he hit it right on the spot.
I think this applies not only to those obsessed with the iPhone, but also those obsessed with their over-expensive smartphones.
From what I understand, iPhones and other really expensive Android phones are considered pretty much a fashion accessory. That’s the only way I can explain the need to buy the newest version as soon as it comes out, or the retarded obsession with special colors instead of just buying a damn cellphone case. Seriously, people are going insane trying to get their hands on the white iPhone 4s, it’s not like it works any differently than the black version…
Nowadays people put way more attention to their phone than to what’s going on around them. People can’t even eat without their phones on their hands, do you know how anti-hygienic that is? I know most of you surf the web while using the toilet, so I guess you can imagine where I’m going with this. Also, do you have any idea how many times I have almost run over people either talking or directly staring at their phones while crossing a busy intersection?
Anyway, every time my friends and all the people I know go insane over a specific phone, or try to show off what they have, I always imagine the business card scene from American Psycho.
That’s how you all look like to me.
