Bud Light might want to rethink their “#UpForWhatever” strategy

advertising fail

We’re adults and we know what they meant, but this was phrased extremely poorly, as in piss-poor light beer poorly.

“Phrasing!” —Sterling Archer

THE PERFECT BEER FOR REMOVING “NO” FROM YOUR VOCABULARY FOR THE NIGHT.

We’re not saying it sounds like rape, but it does sound a bit rapey. The whole “#UpForWhatever” campaign is actually meant to be about going out, having a crazy night, and being up for whatever comes your way (while drinking heavy amounts of beer).

This, however, was so poorly worded it makes me wonder if the Bud Light marketing team was drunk when they allowed this to be printed on their bottles.

Make no mistake, this does not offend me one bit, but it’s hard to overlook the obvious “no means nothing to me.” The only thing missing here is the good old Lenny face ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
