Life-size “Avengers: Age of Ultron” statues that cost the same as a car

Like many online buyers, I receive several newsletters from many places. While checking the Entertainment Earth newsletter I saw something that immediately caught my eye; “Avengers: Age of Ultron” life-size light-up statues.

The words “life-size” brought a huge smile to my face. At least until I noticed the price tag.

While the thought of a 1:1 scale statue with LED lights sounds amazing, I came crashing back down earth when I checked the price. I could literally buy a fully functional car with that kind of money.

The smaller ones are impressive: Thor statue measures 6-feet tall, and Iron Man’s Mark 43 and War Machine‘s measure 7-feet tall respectively. But then, there’s the massive Hulk statue at 8 1/4 feet tall and weighing 800 lbs, and then the even more massive Iron Man Hulk Buster at 9 3/4 feet tall and weighing a whooping 1,450 lbs.

I’m having a hard time imagining a regular fan buying any of these, let alone attempting to collect them all. I can actually picture them at some kind of venue, being a restaurant or fair, or maybe even a wealthy collector.

But to be honest, if I had a chance to get just one of them, it would be the Hulk Buster.
