Mortal Kombat: Rebirth – Possible “R” Rated MK Movie

The short was directed by Fame director Kevin Tancharoen, and it’s supposed to be a “test video” to convince Warner Brothers to give them funding for a rated R Mortal Kombat movie.

Jax is played by Michael Jai White, Sonya Blade by Jeri Ryan, Baraka by Lateef Crowder, Scorpion by Ian Anthony Dale, and Johnny Cage by MMA fighter Matt Mullins.

Latino Review is still working on who played Reptile.

This was both awesome and weird. Weird in the sense that it feels like Street Fighter or Tekken, there was no mention of Outworld and the bad guys just appeared to be your  everyday psychotic bastards.

That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it, I hope Warner accepts and does a good reset on the franchise, it’s long overdue.
