And so the Legend of Korra is sadly and finally over…

So the series finally came to a bittersweet end, but not because of the story. After Nick showed so little love for this series in its time of need, the final 2-episode finale was released online a couple of hours ago. If you haven’t watched the roughly one-hour finale yet, do so, or you could wait and watch it on TV, I think they’re still going to air it tonight. They rushed the finale in such a way, that even the announcement was wrong; it was supposed to say “Friday at midnight/9PM on Thursday PST,” but instead it made it sound like it was going to be released yesterday at midnight.

Anyway, I’m not going to spoil anything, but the action was great, even if the actual finale wasn’t as spectacular or dramatic as The Last Airbender. At the end they didn’t use certain characters I expected and hope they did during this short season, and it just feels like the fight could’ve gone for a few more episodes. Don’t take me wrong, I still like how it ended, but I feel it could have been done better if Nick had taken care of this series more, but it feels like they’re more interested in Sponge Bob than anything else.

In any case, the ending will break Tumblr and Twitter, but mainly Tumblr. I’m sure DeviantArt will also have their fair share of fanart and fanfics. I have a picture of part of the ending in case you don’t want to wait to find out what I’m talking about.

They want to go play with the spirit vines, if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). For now I just have to wait for the barrage of “rule 34” stuff that’s gonna pour everywhere because of that one scene.
