Watermelon to the face – Real or fake?
This is a clip from The Amazing Race on CBS, as you can see the girl got owned by a watermelon she was supposed to be throwing at some armors.
The thing is, is it real? Watermelons are hard and heavy, don’t you think she should have ended up with a bloody face?
Take a look at the clip again, the watermelon pretty much explodes like a balloon, unless her head is made of steel I don’t see that happening for real.

Also she is the only one shooting so ofcourse they would have atleast 1 camera that only shows her launcher.

They probably used a specially designed lightweight watermelon for the purposes of the game, not a full-blown heavyweight melon…

Makes sense, it would explain why it explodes like a water balloon.
Tired Of Fake and Gay
It doesn’t look fake. Does everything have to be fake and gay now?

lol i didn’t say it was gay, probably fake but not gay, i still think having a camera right in front of that specific launcher was too convenient 😛

I do not know if it is real or fake, but her skull is much harder than a watermelon. Although it may seem that a watermelon is harder, think about using your skull to push against a watermelon, let’s say, against a wall. Painful as it may sound, your skull would definitely succeed and break the watermelon. Your skull would not shatter or break.
Of course it is flying at a high speed, but she fell back and took the shot it seems to the side of her face, so the nose was left unbroken.
I don’t know, just thinking…

My brother said the same thing, and it makes a lot of sense….still, I’m pretty sure my face would puff up really fast.
It might be a “special watermelon” just for that shot, I don’t see any other reason why there was a camera conveniently placed in that angle, unless they had 50 cameras on that field =D
Thanks for the comment ;D

you do know that film crews have camerss set at as many angles as possible there are many that they dont even use for the show but just do it so they can pick out the best when editing. I also don’t see whats so special about the angle that makes you think there is no reason for it, if it shows the actor and what she is doing then that is more then enough reason to have a camera there.
