Does sex appeal look different when you reverse the roles?
BuzzFeed came up with a video replacing women in a few ads with men. The idea is that, according to them, “sex appeal looks pretty different when you turn it around.”
Seeing men like this is ridiculous, so why isn’t it with women?
Yeah… I don’t think so. First of all, the only situation where it looked weird was the guy on the beach, but other than that I wouldn’t call it “ridiculous.” If their point is about how women are often sexualized in commercials, they kind of used the wrong examples. I’m absolutely sure a lot of women would love to see a Go Daddy! commercial with hot guys, so I’m confused as to why they’re making it sound like women don’t like attractive men.
I understand the point they were trying to make, but it was very poorly done.
