This is stuff that should be taught in schools, but most people will only see it in college economics classes. So, Scott McLaine explains how estimated taxes and tax brackets work in the simplest way possible.

This skips deductions, but at least now you know it’s not as terrible as politicians often decry on TV when it’s in their interests.

Speaking of taxes, this year the IRS postponed the April 15 tax deadline to May 17, so if you haven’t filed your taxes yet, you might want to hurry up.
