Oh noes! What happened to the site?
Over the weekend I was welcomed by the damn "Cannot redeclare _verify_isactivate_widget()” worm that attacked my site almost two years ago.

If you are one of the unfortunate souls whose blogs ended with broken features after updating to version 3.5, or became completely unusable, this is for you.
The "Cannot redeclare _verify_isactivate_widget()" turned out to be a worm and not a WordPress error.
I haven't been updating for a few days because the site was hacked.
Ever since the last couple of Wordpress updates many of my plugins just wouldn't work right, or work at all. At first I thought it was plugin-related as it was in the past, and it wasn't until I tried another theme that I noticed it was actually the Arras theme.
If you host your own blog this might be a solution for you, or at least a workaround.
