Today’s Google Doodle: Treasure Island

Today’s Google Doodle celebrates the 160th birthday of Robert Louis Stevenson, and what better way to do it than with one of his most beloved classics; Treasure Island.

Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (13 November 1850 – 3 December 1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer. His best-known books include Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

I’ve been a fan of Treasure Island since I was a child (that’s why I really hated Treasure Planet), so happy birthday, oh maker of dreams (and nightmares).
