Follow the Obama theme here, President Barack Obama has tentatively accepted an invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the 2010 World Cup here next June, Joseph Blatter, the president of FIFA, said Monday.
Now the question is whether he’ll be the first American president to accept the invitation (94′ World Cup doesnt count, it took place in the US!)
Obama has also lent his support to an effort by the United States to host the World Cup in 2018 or 2022.
