I never thought about the importance of the Flash in the league until now…

Let’s add a little Golden Age DC magic to the possible cover:

Flash: “But Superman, someone else has to do this once in a while too!”

Superman: “I’m sorry Flash, but if you don’t do it, you will die!”

I’m pretty sure golden age Superman wouldn’t think twice before throwing him into outer space for no reason at all (other than being a dick).
